Located in northwest, central Gainesville on Martin Luther King, BP Douglas Park is classified as a playground / neighborhood park under the City's Park Classification system. It is a one-acre park with a newly constructed regulation size outdoor basketball court. The private sector generated the funds and construction with the assistance from the Parks & Recreation Department. The park consists of wooden picnic tables and two-swing set stations, playground equipment, two cooking grills and a water fountain.
