Adult Volunteers - Grow Team

Join the Frank Buck Zoo “Grow Team”

Adult Volunteers

The Frank Buck Zoo “Grow Team” is volunteers that contribute to the visual appearance of the Zoo through expertise and talent in growing flora and fauna that complements and delights Zoo visitors. It is the goal of Frank Buck Zoo to provide a landscape that inspires tranquility, displays botanic beauty as well as to provide a naturalistic backdrop for the Zoo Exhibits and their inhabitants.

The “Grow Team” will meet on a quarterly basis to review plans, receive professional development, and evaluate progress. Grow Team members are asked to contribute one three hour block once a month as a minimum and attend an orientation if accepted. “Grow Team” contributions may include: plant propagation, horticultural project/landscape planning, professional development of “Grow Team” members, horticultural research, bed maintenance, plant installation, pruning and shaping of plant material, construction of borders and accent art, etc…
