Ron Sellman, Director Public Services The Public Services Department is under the supervision and direction of Ron Sellman. He is responsible for the overall management of the department, coordination with other agencies and with other city departments, and provides highly responsible administrative support to the City Manager.

The Public Services sub-divisions are Administration, Street, Storm Water Drainage, Wastewater Collections, Water Distribution, Water Production, Moss Lake, Wastewater Treatment Plant and Industrial Waste.

This Division is responsible for the operation and maintenance of the City of Gainesville Infrastructure. Our Public Works employees are trained and committed to providing outstanding customer service.

The Gainesville Water Utilities Divisions are proud to be recognized by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) for providing Superior Water Quality to the citizens of Gainesville.

The mission of the Water Utilities Divisions is to ensure that safe and pleasant drinking water is delivered to the citizens of Gainesville at an adequate volume and pressure at a reasonable cost; to provide safe, reliable and efficient disposal of sanitary sewage; and, SSto protect the public health and environment through the elimination of water pollution wherever possible.
