Community Fund Raising Project

In an effort to keep Mayor Glenn Loch’s vision of “Take Pride in Gainesville” alive and at the same time contribute something of significance that will be enjoyed by all Gainesville residents for generations to come, Gainesville residents are being invited to submit as many recipes as possible to make up a Community Recipe Book.

Street Clock

Proceeds from the Recipe Book will be used to purchase a 4-dial street clock (similar to the one shown) to be placed in Heritage Park North.  The goal is to have at least 500 recipes to be included in the book.

This is your chance to contribute to part of Gainesville’s history and at the same time have your recipes published.  Hometown recipe books are the best selling recipe books because they include tried and true recipes with ingredients that most people already have in their kitchens.  Include your family’s favorite recipes and try some other family favorites from your community.  Your family members will cherish the book for years to come.

The Community Recipe Book is being sponsored by the City of Gainesville and is the result of an idea that came directly from the City employees.  This is something that the whole community can be involved in that will help beautify our City.

All recipes must be submitted no later than April 6 by 5:00 p.m.  Recipes may be submitted by e-mail to: Cathy Kinsella, Lynette Pettigrew, or Kay Lunnon or mailed to:

City of Gainesville Recipe Book
200 S. Rusk
Gainesville, TX  76240

Please make sure to include your name and the name of the dish you are submitting.  All recipes will be considered for placement in the book.
