CART PILOT PROGRAM GUIDELINES

• All residential and commercial customer services will be provided on Tuesday’s “only”.
• Place cart at curb before 7 a.m. on your collection day.
• Place cart at your collection site in the street with wheels resting against curb.
• Cart should be four feet from all other objects.
• Bag trash before placing in cart.
• Do not fill your container above the rim such that the lid will not close.
• Excess or Overloaded carts will be considered a special collection and may require an extra fee.
• First and Third Wednesday of non-holiday weeks are set-aside as “special pick up days.”  Bulky items and appliances can be picked up by citizen request for a charge of $25.20/item.  Brush, leaves and limbs must be cut in 3ft.x3ft.x3ft. (1 cubic yard) bundles.  Anything over one cubic yard will be charged at $24.15/cubic yard.  All requests must be made 24 hours in advance on the first and third Wednesdays by calling 940-668-4551.
• Any bagged or boxed trash placed outside the cart is excessive trash an may require an extra fee.
• Residential customers should discontinue use of their containers and cans immediately, and transfer any refuse to the new cart  effective Tuesday, January 13, 2009.
• The City will no longer collect any other refuse containers during this pilot program in this designed area.
