HB3693 requires governmental entities (including municipalities) to publish consumption and payment information for various utility services used by the entity annually.

The City of Gainesville purchases natural gas from Atmos Energy and in the calendar year 2017, the City purchased a total of 30,934 cubic feet (CCF) of natural gas.

The City purchases electricity from Gexa Energy and Cooke County Electric Cooperative. In calendar year 2017, the City purchased a total of 9,136,302 kilowatt hours (kwh) from GEXA Energy and 152,484 kilowatt hours (kwh) from Cooke County Electric Cooperative Association.

The City purchases water from the City utility. In calendar year 2017, the City purchased a total of 14,484,550 gallons of water.

The total cost of natural gas, electricity, and water purchased by the City in the calendar year 2017 is $1,434,626.74.
